What exactly is a wedding content creator?

We’re here to capture the candid chaos, happy tears, and dance-floor legends all on an iPhone. Think of us as your behind-the-scenes squad, capturing the energy of the day for Instagram, TikTok, and everything in between. You’ll receive the majority of your content on the same day (depending on the package you have selected) ready to share, relive and celebrate again.

Do you replace the photographer or videographer?

No. Your photographer captures the timeless, editorial moments, whereas qt captures gives you the real-time fun, the unfiltered joy, and the moments no one else sees. We work alongside your photographer, not in place of them. If your budget doesn’t allow for a videographer, we might be the next best thing, capturing an array of candid clips throughout the ceremony but we’re not a replacement.

What kind of content do you deliver?

Depending on your package, you’ll receive a curated mix of raw footage and/or short-form vertical videos, perfect for reels, TikToks, and Instagram stories. Expect behind-the-scenes magic, emotional moments, candid guest reactions, fun transitions, and those little pockets of joy that make your day yours.

When do we get our content?

You’ll receive the majority of the content on same day, either via AirDrop or a downloadable link. If you have purchased a package that includes curated reels and footage, this footage will be delivered within 48 hours via a downloaded link.

Do you travel outside Queenstown?

Yes! We travel anywhere in New Zealand (and Australia) for weddings, elopements, and events no matter how small or large. Travel surcharge may apply depending on the location.

Do you film heli weddings?

Absolutely! From mountaintop vows to snowy kisses, we’ve got the gear and the guts to capture your high-altitude "I do." We’ll make sure to get those windswept, wow-factor shots you'll want to replay forever.

Can we request specific shots or trends?

Of course! Just send through any inspo or ideas ahead of time so we can tailor things to you. We’ll work our magic to capture a variety of content that is inspired by your ideas and inspired by the venue, lighting and general vibe of the day.

Can you shoot both the bride and groom getting ready?

If your package includes dual coverage and the schedule allows, yes! We can work with you to prioritise key moments and develop the best timeline for capturing these. We can also off a second shooter add-on.

Can we use the content however we like?

Yes, you get full personal-use rights. Post, share, save, print, whatever you like! We kindly ask that if you're tagging or sharing publicly and the opportunity arises, a little credit (@qt.captures) is always appreciated. Will you use our footage for your own marketing?

Yes, select content may be used on qt captures’ website, Instagram, TikTok, or other promotional channels. If you prefer certain moments to remain private, just let us know and we’ll respect that completely.

What if someone doesn’t want to be filmed?

It’s the Client’s responsibility to let us know in advance if any guests don’t wish to be photographed or filmed. We’ll do our best to avoid them, just keep in mind the candid, fast-moving nature of the work means we need a heads-up.

What if the weather ruins the day?

Queenstown weather has a mind of its own, but we’re flexible. If we need to shift the date due to extreme weather, we can reschedule (subject to availability) at no extra charge. We’ll always do what we can to make sure you still get the magic.
